Día de los Muertos - Day of the Dead

Octobert 31 - November 2

Every year, on All Saints Day and All Souls Day, unique festivities take place in many areas of Mexico and certain parts of the United States, while similar holidays are celebrated in many parts of the world. Although the ritual has since been merged with Catholic theology, it still maintains the basic principles of the Aztec ritual.

It is a festival celebrating the reunion of dead relatives with their families. This all stems from the ancient indigenous peoples of Mexico (Purepecha, Nahua, Totonac and Otomí) who believed that the souls of the dead return each year to visit with their living relatives - to eat, drink and be merry. Just like they did when they were living.

To help celebrate we have pulled together our products tile and nightlights celebrating Day of the Dead.
